Personal, Social, Health & Economic Education (PSHE)
Developing children’s personal qualities and social skills is a vital part of our curriculum. Children learn about citizenship and their place in the community, and have regular opportunities to discuss issues in circle time sessions. Sex Education is covered as part of the PSHE programme, and is linked closely to the curriculum for science. Older children will learn about the human body, reproduction and changes that occur during puberty. Our aim is for children to be able to cope with the physical and emotional changes of growing up and to encourage pupils’ awareness, respect and responsibility for themselves and others by receiving accurate information.
