CLAYGATE PRIMARY SCHOOL – COMMUNITY POOL PROJECT

Notice for Contractors Registration of Interest

Experienced general contractors are invited to register their interest in the forthcoming tender for the above project. Details of the project are as follows:-

The project is to upgrade the existing 20m long outdoor swimming pool and to erect a steel frame over the pool with a metal insulated cladding to form a new enclosed Pool Hall 24m long x 11.5m wide. In addition, the project will include the construction of new plant room, changing rooms and a Community Room in an adjoining block 24m long x 6.5m wide.  The changing rooms will consist of two rooms each to accommodate 20 persons. The existing pool plant will be retained apart from the filters which will require to be upgraded. A new air handling unit with ductwork will be required to serve the enclosed pool hall and an upgraded power supply will also be required.

The contract will be awarded on  a JCT Design and Build Contract. Estimated value for the project is £580,000. Completion required by end 2021.

The timetable to be followed will be as follows, with all communications to be received by midnight on the date shown:-

Mon 25^th Jan 2021   -  Contractors to register their interest in being considered for the tender

Mon 1^st Feb 2021     -  Contractors requested to complete pre-qualification documents

Mon 8^th Feb 2021     -  Contractors pre-qualification documents to be submitted

Mon 15^th Feb 2021   -  Notification of contractors selected to tender

Mon 22^nd Feb 2021  -  Issue of Tender documents

Mon 22^nd Mar 2021  - Tenders to be returned by contractors

Mon 3^rd May 2021    -  Award of Contract /Contract signing

Mon 14^th Jun 2021   -  Completion of contractor’s design

Mon 28^th Jun 2021   -  Completion of client review / approval/ orders placed

Mon 19^th Jul 2021    -  Commencement of site works
