PE Lessons

Each week the children receive 2 hours of PE comprising of 2 of the following:

1. Indoor PE Children learn skills through dance and gymnastics to become competent and confident in movement, agility, balance and coordination, individually and with others.

2. Outdoor PE Through participation in outdoor games such as football, hockey, netball, rugby, cricket, tennis, rounders and athletics children will learn how to engage in team work and learn the skills for these individual activities.  During 2019-2020 academic year our outdoor sports lessons for years 1-6 will be delivered by a specialist sports coach as part of staff CPD, funded by the PE sports premium.

3. Swimming with our outdoor pool children receive swimming lessons weekly throughout the summer term and half of the autumn term. The aim is to ensure children are water confident and can swim 25m competently by the end of KS2.
