International School
At our school, we believe in creating meaningful learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. As part of this, our Year 3 pupils take part in an exciting Pen Pal project in partnership with ACS International School. This initiative gives our children the opportunity to exchange letters regularly with students from a different cultural background, helping them to develop their writing skills, broaden their global awareness, and build lasting friendships.
Through the art of letter writing, our pupils practise key literacy and communication skills in a real-world context. They learn how to express themselves clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and respond with care and curiosity. It’s a wonderful way to reinforce the importance of audience and purpose in writing.
Over time, many of these letter exchanges grow into warm and supportive friendships. The project culminates in an exciting opportunity for the children to meet their Pen Pals face to face. An unforgettable experience that brings their learning to life and celebrates the power of connection across communities.
