Welcome

Welcome to Claygate Primary School … a very special place! We will always offer you the very warmest of welcomes at our happy and successful community school, graded Good Ofsted ‘23.

Our motto is

‘Together we Grow’

Here at Claygate, we aim to balance the highest academic aspirations for every single child with a broad enrichment offer and pastoral care; Personal Development was recognised as Outstanding Ofsted ’23.

'Leaders have high expectations in every aspect of school and want the very best for all pupils.’ Ofsted ‘23

We have a wonderful, green site and our extensive grounds mean that we can offer excellent opportunities to participate in a wide variety of activities which enhance the curriculum, from forest school activities to enjoying our amazing indoor swimming pool!

Our Claygate Charter and Pledges enable us to provide the most wonderful school experience for the children to ensure that every child’s journey is filled with encouragement, challenge and success.  Whilst our creative, stimulating and exciting curriculum encourages every child to develop an enthusiastic love of learning and to embrace resilience as an opportunity to grow!

‘Leaders ensure that the school’s values and ‘Claygate Pledges’ are at the heart of school life.'

Our Early Years Department which includes Acorns Nursery and Reception were graded Outstanding due to its exceptional provision:

‘Children receive the very best start to their education. Children in the early years are happy and stimulated, with a range of exciting resources and well-planned activities.’ Ofsted ‘23

I would be delighted to welcome you on a visit, so you can see first hand, the children immersed in their learning, meet the staff and look around our beautiful setting.

I look forward to meeting you.

Mrs Sandra Cunningham

Head Teacher
