Welcome to Claygate Primary School

We are delighted to welcome you to Claygate Primary School – a truly special place where every child is valued, supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

Claygate is a two-form entry primary school for children aged 4–11, with our nursery offering places for children aged 2–4. Rated Good, with areas judged as Outstanding, by Ofsted in 2023 and recognised within the top 5% of schools nationally for academic outcomes, we are a happy, thriving school community with a strong focus on achievement, personal growth, and well-being.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is ambitious for every child and carefully designed to prepare our children with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive in today’s society. Based on the National Curriculum and personalised to our local area and needs, it is sequenced to build deep understanding, resilience, independence and a love of learning – qualities that support lifelong success.

Set within beautiful green surroundings, our extensive grounds provide endless opportunities for exploration, creativity and outdoor learning. From Forest School experiences to our unique indoor swimming pool, our children enjoy a wide range of enriching activities that enhance their education and broaden their horizons.

Learning within such peaceful natural surroundings helps our children develop meaningful connections with nature, fostering reflection, well-being and a sense of responsibility for the world around them.

Outstanding Early Years Provision

Our Early Years provision, including Acorns Nursery and Reception, was graded Outstanding by Ofsted. We are proud to provide children with the very best start to their education through exciting learning environments, carefully planned activities, and nurturing relationships that support every aspect of their development.
