Welcome

Welcome to Claygate Primary School and our Acorns nursery.

It is a very special place; we are very proud of our inclusive ethos. We are a caring, safe and welcoming place, where children, staff, parents and governors work together to ensure that every child’s journey is filled with encouragement, challenge and success.

Our motto is

‘Together we Grow’

Our vision and values are reflected in our creative, stimulating and exciting curriculum which encourages every child to develop an enthusiastic love of learning and embrace resilience as an opportunity to grow!

Our central philosophy is to support children to feel safe, make decisions, manage risks and take responsibility for themselves. We aim to make sure that children are well-prepared for the next phase of their education and skills for life.

Our extensive grounds mean that we can offer excellent opportunities to participate in a wide variety of activities which enhance the curriculum including music, drama, outdoor learning and sporting activities, including a full sized swimming pool.

We see ourselves as a busy and friendly learning community for everyone.

I am honoured to Chair the Ember Learning Trust, our cooperative family of schools, committed to sharing resources and expertise. Staff at CPS seize opportunities to ‘grow’ through networking and training and value the opportunity to support our colleagues across the borough.

We believe that the partnership between home and school is key and constantly strive to strengthen this link and encourage Parents and Carers to play an active role in their child’s learning.

I would be delighted to welcome you on a visit, so you can see first-hand children immersed in their learning, meet staff and look around our beautiful setting.

I look forward to meeting you.

Mrs Sandra Cunningham

@claygateprimary

A huge well done to Pine Class for their super enrichment performance this week. We performed Queen, the Beatles and Beethoven on the recorder, and were very 'Revolting Children' - from Matilda the Musical, too! @surreyarts #musiceducation #musicschool #recorder https://t.co/R9CTnyNayy
