At CPS, we have carefully structured the school day to ensure a balanced and engaging experience for all children. The timetable is designed to provide time for focused learning, creative activities, and outdoor play, while also promoting well-being and social development.

Our day is carefully organised to allow children to develop academically, emotionally, and socially, with plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning and collaborative work. The timetable ensures that all children receive a broad and well-rounded education, setting them up for success both now and in the future.

Please ensure your child benefits from the full school day by arriving on time and ready to learn.

At the beginning of the day

CPS automatic gates and the school entrance gates open at 8.40am for the children to enter in time for 8.45am. Learning begins at 8.45am.

Children arriving after 8.55am will enter via the Office and the Office team will mark them as present.

Children arriving after register, after 9.00am, will be marked in the register as late.

Children arriving after 9.30am will be marked as 'U' which is the unauthorised code and a reason will be noted in the register when they are signed in via the Office.

At the end of the day

Acorns parents collecting their children at 3.00pm will collect from the Green Gates. All other CPS parents are then allowed entry at 3.10pm to collect their children from their dismissal points at 3.15pm.

The gates are locked at 3.30pm to maintain site security and the automatic gates reactivated.

After School

There are a wide range of Clubs after the school day has ended which finish at various times between 4.15pm and 5.00pm.

Our wrap around provision, Clubland runs breakfast club from 7.30am and after school club until 6.00pm every school day.

Acorns Nursery offers wrap around care to nursery children from 7.30am and again until 6.00pm.

The length of the school week is a total of 32.5 hours, in line with Government expectations.

The CPS Office is manned from 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Parents are welcome to walk through the car park at the beginning and end of the school day. However, we kindly remind all parents that the car park is primarily for staff vehicles, and we have asked our school community not to drive through it during these times. Please remain mindful of this, ensuring that both children and adults are cautious while walking through the area. Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
