I am delighted that you have chosen to visit our school website. We are very proud of Claygate Primary; it is a very special place. We are a caring and welcoming school, where governors, parents, staff and children work together to ensure that every child’s journey throughout Claygate is filled with encouragement, challenges and successes.
Our motto is
‘Together we Grow’
We offer a creative, stimulating and exciting curriculum which encourages all to develop a love of learning. Learning doesn't only happen in the classroom at CPS!
Our extensive grounds mean that we can offer excellent opportunities to participate in outdoor learning and sporting activities, which enhance the curriculum, including a full size swimming pool. Our central philosophy is to support children to make decisions, manage risks and take responsibility for themselves. In essence, we aim to make sure that children are well-prepared for the next phase of their education, but more importantly, that they are well-prepared for life!
We are a busy, friendly school, with lots going on and our website aims to give you a taster of the school. Usually, we would be very pleased to welcome you on a personal visit or tour, so you can see the children immersed in their learning, meet the staff and look around our beautiful setting to build up your own picture.
We have prioritised the health and safety of our school community to minimise the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus as best we can following Government Guidelines. Details of our preventative efforts can be found under the heading Covid-19. Due to Covid, Claygate is currently unable to offer tours. When guidelines change, we will be delighted to resume small group tours to showcase our extensive grounds and facilities. Until then we have put together a snapshot of life at CPS which you can view by clicking on the link below. Our year group assemblies may also be of interest to you.
I look forward to meeting you.
